Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), known primarily for its blockchain applications, brings a whole new dimension to securities management. As an IT service provider for Centrální depozitář cenných papírů, a.s. (Central Securities Depository), we participated in the launch of a unique DLT securities registry based on R3’s Corda technology – the first of its kind in Europe.
Solution
Thanks to this innovation, users with a Czech Bank Identity can buy, sell, or transfer securities (stocks, bonds, and other assets) quickly, efficiently, and without the involvement of brokers. Transactions take place in real time or within a few minutes, with the highest standards of security and privacy ensured.
